Sunday Mornings

415 Youth offers weekly programming at 10:00 a.m. and the first Sunday of each month at 11:15 a.m.

10:00 a.m. THRIVE
This weekly program provides a relaxed and welcoming place for youth to connect with each other and engage in God’s Word. Each week consists of:

Games and Community Builders – provide opportunities for youth to meet new people and strengthen relationships.

Message – communicates God’s truth in engaging and relevant ways that connect with youth where they are.

Small Groups – give youth time to connect with each other and dig into the weekly message and scripture.

11:15 a.m.  CAN I ASK THAT?
Tough Questions about Life and Faith
The First Sunday of Every Month
This monthly program provides a safe and open place for youth to explore the difficult questions they are asking – either out loud or to themselves. The conversation is guided by one of our youth staff.
We discuss questions such as:

  • What do I do when my friends are making bad decisions?
  • What if I forgot everything I learned in confirmation?
  • How I can I become confident in praying out loud?
  • What can I do to get along better with my parents?

Sunday nights

Planned with your friends in mind.

Once per month we gather with all youth in 7-12 grade. Sunday Night Events are about celebrating being a youth group! Each month has a fun and creative theme. Some past events include: Scavenger Hunt, Guys vs. Girls Event, Messy Games, March Madness, Survivor, Nugget Night, and more!

Sunday nights also involve food, games, and worship!

These events are a great opportunity for friends and youth new to church to make friends and have a safe place to try out the youth ministry.

6:30  Small Groups

WNL offers age and gender specific Discipleship Groups for youth in 7-12 grade. Adult leaders often start with the youth in 7th grade and stay with them all the way through 12th grade. These groups offer youth close relationships, support, and a small group of youth and adults who know them and a strong and reliable support system.

We are called to participate in God’s mission for our world.

The youth ministry offers three mission trips each summer; one middle school mission trip and two high school mission trips.
Trips for summer 2020 include trips to Chicago, Cincinnati, and Guatemala.

Youth are active leaders on the mission team. Youth may plan and lead Vacation Bible School, do minor house renovations, prepare and serve meals to the homeless, and so much more.

Serving others is more than a summer mission trip. Youth are serving in many areas of the church ministries. In addition, our youth ministry offers a monthly service opportunity through a local ministry partner. Currently, we join One Generation Away each month for their Mobile Food Pantry. We sort and serve thousands of pounds of donated food to hundreds of people in need. The Mobile Food Pantry is on Saturday mornings at various locations around Middle Tennessee.

Make your faith your own. Confirmation is an annual program for our teens that helps them discover a faith that is their own.

Confirmation gives each young person the opportunity to step up and claim their Christian faith for themselves. You get to accept and confirm that your identity is tied to being a Child of God and a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Confirmation is offered for youth in any grade 7-12 grade.

The Confirmation experience runs each year from November – April. Weekly classes are at 8:45 a.m. The other elements of the confirmation experience include: Field trips to a Catholic Church and A.M.E. worship service, interview with church staff, and service learning project.
